Gerald is a civil engineer with over 10 years of experience in water resources management. He holds an MSc. in Hydrology and Water Resources from IHE Delf in the Netherlands. Before joining SADC-GMI, Gerald worked in the public sector where he was involved in the planning, development and implementation of projects, programmes and initiatives that have significantly contributed towards addressing water related challenges in Southern Africa.

As the Senior Groundwater Specialist, Gerald’s primary role is to support the SADC-GMI Executive Director in the development and operation of the institution. He is also the technical lead in conceptualising, designing and implementing projects, programmes, courses, and other activities to advance groundwater management in the SADC region.
